Yantis Automotive's founder, Buddy Yantis Sr., started the business in 1966, working on big trucks and diesel engines at his first location near the present Fiesta Texas. Buddy Jr. grew up there, learning the auto repair trade from his father. Buddy recalls. "he probably wasn't the best babysitter, because he taught me to drive as a little kid".
Buddy Sr. was a well-known local racer on the circle track circuit, most notably at the PanAmerican Raceway. He raced all over the wouth, including a memorable stint at Indy, from 1948-1983.
Buddy Jr. has been at the shop during all the decades, including the move to the Northeast side in 1985. IN that time, he has built a following based strictly on his reputation for honesty, fairness and quality work. Word of mouth is the only adverting that Yantis AUtomotive has ever used.
Today, Buddy's wife Denise handles the business side of Yantis Automotive. Buddy and two mechanics offer a full range of automotive repair services. Buddy also specializes in fleet maintenance for a range of businesses and government organizations.
Buddy, Denise and their family have always been involved in the Converse community. Here is everyone with our "float"at the July 4, 2017 Parade
